What is Court bail?

Court bail is an amount of money or property required to be deposited with the Court, in order for you to be released from custody of the Prison. The amount and nature of the bail will be decided by the Judge.

Bail serves as an assurance of the accused person’s attendance when required by the Court. If you are on bail and fail to appear in Court when so required, it can cause the bail money to be forfeited.
