A 21-year old man, Ahmad Ridhwan Wee Ahmad Jafni, was sentenced to 3 years’ imprisonment and six strokes of the cane after pleading guilty to rioting and causing serious injuries to two victims in October 2014.
The man and others in a group of five had punched and kicked the two male victims (both in their 20s) outside a club along Serangoon Road at 3.3 0am on 22 October 2014.
One of the victims suffered left skull fracture and brain as well as post-traumatic epilepsy for which he will require lifelong anti-convulsant medication.
