CCMS Meetings – Asking for a specific outcome

If you’re involved in a criminal case in Singapore and your Criminal Defence Lawyer is attending a Criminal Case Management Scheme (CCMS) meeting on your behalf, your lawyer can ask the Prosecution to consider making specific decisions, such as:

• Withdrawing the charge and giving you a warning in place of prosecution
• Amending the charge and proceeding with a less serious type of offence

Remember, your Criminal Defence Lawyer will generally need to give solid reasons and explanations in support of your request for any particular outcome.
