First, there is the Traffic Court. This is a court that hears and tries traffic offences and it includes traffic arrests, traffic police summonses, where there are no offers of compensations, such as a traffic ticket.
Then, there is the Night Court. These court function for the convenience of the working public who would otherwise have to take time off from work in order to attend court.
Operating hours are from 6pm onwards from Mondays to Fridays.
Court 26N and Court 25N
There are 2 Night Courts that you should know about, each with its own profile of cases.
First, there is Court 26N which deals with summonses and notices issued by the various departments and enforcement agencies, such as the HDB and CPF while Court 25N deals with road traffic offences and those brought by the land transport authority (LTA).
